The New York Times is dedicated to the truth. Tru furthers their cause through a digital experience that empowers the people to get the Tru story behind big brands.
Tru is an augmented-reality function of the NYT mobile site. Powered by Google Translate, ‘Tru’ scans whatever logo you are curious about and delivers the latest headlines about that brand. Tapping the headline connects the user to the complete article.
‘Tru’s ad blocker will replace ads with content related headlines and bylines, leading to the full story.
